All students at Walnut Trails will complete fitness tests three times throughout the year (September, January, and May). As will all Minooka 201 schools, we use the FitnessGram physical fitness assessment in our physical education classes. FitnessGram assesses five areas of physical fitness: aerobic capacity, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and body composition.
Students who achieve the highest standard on all four of the core fitness tests (Pacer, Push Ups, Sit Ups, and Trunk Lift) will earn the title of "Walnut Trails Fitness Nut" and have their name put up on the Fitness Nut bulletin board found in our gym!
